Playing at the Zoo!

Cohen has been such a good sport about staying in the house the last couple weeks with Cam being in pain and all that I decided to take the boys and do something fun with them. I was talking to Beth and we decided to go to the zoo. We invited Cindy and Chanelle to go with us and they had our niece Brenna! We had a great time, and the weather was perfect. Cohen loves the monkeys, I think if I let him he would sit and watch them all day. He gets so excited when he sees them playing its pretty cute to watch.
These are the monkeys Cohen and Riley loved watching

Saying Goodbye

On May 13 we saw Camerons younger brother Cristopher off at the MTC, where he will be for 2 months preparing to serve in the Concepcion, Chile Mission. He is so ready and will be a great missionary. We love you Christopher and are so proud of you.

Broken Collarbone...

On Saturday Cam went to play football with some of the guys from his work. As many of you know Cam can be pretty competitive when it comes to sports, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that he is willing to sacrifice himself in order to make a play. Well Saturday morning that is exactly what happened, he dove to make the catch and planted his shoulder into the ground, he heard something snap but was more concerned with his team shouting "run they haven't gotten your flag yet" so what did he do...he got up and ran to make the touchdown. Later realizing that something was not right. Come to find out he had broken his collarbone. After visiting two hospitals and going to a couple different doctors appointments Cameron finally had his surgery this morning at TOSH. The surgery went smoothly and they didn't have to use a plate only 3 pins!! Great news!! As of now his shoulder aches pretty bad and he can't move his arm at all, but we will see how he is feeling after a few days. It will take up to 3 months for him to be fully recovered. I guess I got what I wished for....he wont be playing basketball every night :) Cohen misses his daddy so much and can't wait for him to be able to hold/play with him again. Thanks so much for all the calls and dinners they were so thoughtful.

This picture was taken right before he had surgery. If you look at the black writing you can see one end of his collarbone. The yellowing is his big bruise that formed, and if your wondering why is says yes in red marker that was so they operated on the right side...

Cam turns 28!

Yesterday was Cams 28th birthday, we decided to keep it simple and just have cake and ice cream with a few friends and family. We had a pretty good turn out, and had lots of fun. Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate with us!

Sleep Over

On Wednesday night I received a call from Cam's brother Cory asking if I could come over and watch there son Riley so he could rush his wife into the ER. Of course I said yes, I then grabbed Cohen out of bed put some shoes on and ran over. When Cam was home from playing ball he came over so I could come home and put Cohen to bed. A little while later Cam called saying he couldn't get Riley to go back down so he brought him to our house for the night. The next day we found out that Beth had a cyst on her ovary that had tripled in size over the last 3 weeks, and needed surgery :( poor Beth. So we kept Riley Thursday night as well. The boys played so cute together it was fun to watch them. We pray that Beth can have a fast recovery and can come home to her family soon. We love you Beth.
