We have been talking to Cohen about going to Preschool all summer long so he would be excited and know what to expect. He got to pick out some of his new school shirts and his most favorite thing...his backpack! He didn't start until after Labor Day after most of his friends had started, so lets just say he was ready!

In August Ginger had some family come into town from Texas, and rent a boat and some wave runners for the day up at Jordanelle reservoir. It was nice to be able to get together and catch up with them! We left Scheyd with Uncle Kevin and Ethan (his favorite!) and had some one on one time with Cohen, and boy did he love it!! In July were invited by Gingers Aunt and Uncle to go camping in the Uinta Mountains. It was so nice to get out of the heat and relax with family. It was absolutely beautiful up there and we had a blast! Cohen didn't want to leave! As we were pulling out of the camp ground he said, "can we go the camping again soon?"

All about Scheyd!

Scheyd turned 1 on August 17, I cant believe our little stinker is getting so big! Here are a few fun things about Scheyd:

Scheyd smiles and laughs all day..seriously, most days all it takes is eye contact and a smile to make him happy. He has a contagious little giggle that we all love to hear. It is so rewarding to have a happy baby.

Scheyd loves to play with all of Cohen's cars. He even makes the "vroom vroom" sound as he drives them all over. He also is taking after his brother and says "ball" all day long, and will get filled with happiness every time he sees one.

Since day 1, Scheyd has slept at night. Of course he would wake up to eat once a night, but he has only been fussy ONCE in the middle of the night. And that was only for 30 minutes when we went camping! (please dont throw anything at me out of anger or jealousy.)

At 11 months he took his first steps and has never slowed down!

Scheyd is now saying a hand full of words and learning new ones everyday. Some of the things he says are: ball, Dada, light, all done, right there, and woof woof. One day I was trying to teach him to say "mama" and he said "Dada" and of course Cam started laughing, now he says Dada every time time to be funny...so not funny. He might say "Dada" but he always comes running to me :)

He absolutely loves airplanes! If hears one he points to the sky and says "right there".

Wow! Since I have gotten so behind on our blog I decided to do one big post to get caught up. I have over hundred pictures that are post worthy and maybe one day I will be caught up...probably not. But here is a quick attempt.

Mother's day

We spent Mother's day with Cameron's family at there home in Woodland Hills. One of Cameron's brothers Craig and his daughter Taylor were able to as well!

Greg Miles, one of cam's closest friends, got married on Cam's birthday so we celebrated it a day later. He is now the big 30!
Cam's youngest brother Christopher returned home from his mission in Chile at the end of May. Cohen loved holding his sign that he helped make to welcome Christopher home. He was so good at the airport, he stood there holding his sign for about 30 minutes before we finally saw him.

He had quit the welcoming committee!

I love this picture of Christopher and Cohen. To this day every time Cohen sees an airplane he says "Uncle Christopher was on one of those." which is kind of funny to me since his Uncle Cory flies airplanes, and he associates them with Christopher instead.

In June Ginger did the "Dirty Dash" which is 5k through the mud with random obstacles. We had such a good time, she can't wait to do it again next year!

We also had a quick visit from the Olson's! Cameron was able to meet his newest nephew Dempsey.

Cohen sure loves his cousin Donovan, they love playing tackle football together.

Ginger has also started nannying these 2 girls every Friday. Haylee is 4 and Chloe is 2, they are so sweet. It's been nice to have these cute little girls around since we only have boys.

We spent the 4th of July at Sugar House Park. Ginger had an awful ,I mean awful ear infection. Seriously one of the most painful things to experience as an adult, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy! Anyway back to the park. It was kind of a last minute thing since we weren't sure if Ginger would feel up to it, but decided that since she wasn't in pain at the moment (just couldn't hear anything) that we would go.

Scheyd is getting so stinkin big! He is so funny, this was suppose to be mommy's Jamba Juice, but he ended up drinking the whole thing.

We also had Ginger's dad's side of the family, family reunion. They like to make it a simple get together at a park with lots of fun things for the kids. This year they rented a bounce house and a giant slide, a pinata, little children's store, and a candy cannon.

Ever since we heard that there were Dinosaurs at the Zoo we had been dying to take the boys, especially Cohen, he loves to watch Dinosaur Train on PBS. It took us a while to make it up there since Cohen had a mild case of Pneumonia and Ginger was then really sick with an ear infection. But it was well worth the wait. They loved it, even though half way through it started raining on us Scheyd especially loved the rain, he would raise his arms up in the air and start giggling.

Cowabunga Bay! We love this place, and its perfect for young kids to play. On our last visit there one of Ginger's friends from work Ericka and her family joined us. Cohen loved having some friends there to play with.

Scheyd loved standing and trying to walk in the water, but most of all he loved to just sit there and hit the water as hard as he could so it would make a big splash!

Ummm can he be any cuter.

SOCCER

Cohen was on his first soccer team this Spring and boy was he excited! Since our "spring" weather decided to wait until May to show up the season was off to a late start, but Cohen was SO ready for it!

His team was for 3-4 year olds....needless to say Cohen is small for his age and the uniform that was supplied was a little large on him! He spent the first day running while holding his shorts on. Although the Jersey was so long he could have taken the shorts off and no one would have known :) We went that night to get some smaller shorts.

This age is hilarious to watch. There are kids wandering off playing with the cones, rolling in the grass, kicking the ball into the wrong goals, I could go on and on. The highlight for us was when Cohen scored his first goal! For the most part Cohen just chased after the other kids, since he could never really see the ball. I guess he finally got tired of it and picked the ball up, took a few steps, put in down, and then proceeded to score his goal. He was so proud, after he ran over and gave Ginger a high five and said "did you see that? It's cause I'm 3 years old" So cute!

Easter

This year Ginger's Aunt Debbie invited the boys to spend the day with her and celebrate an early Easter. We started off the day going to an Easter egg hunt. It was great, there were only a handful of kids and tons of eggs that were actually hidden, and not just tossed in a field.

Then we dyed Easter eggs and had a barbecue.
The Easter bunny hides eggs all over the house for the boys to find every Easter. This year Scheyd was the first one to find an egg and he was so excited about it!

That evening went to Grammys to have dinner and color more eggs. Scheyd discovered how to climb the stairs while we were there. He's growing up so fast.

While we were getting everything ready to color eggs, Cameron found Cohen in the front room eating Grampys big chocolate bunny. Silly boy, good thing he didn't get it on that white rug!

A quick visit to Fresno

Cameron's sister Michelle and their little family welcomed there sweet baby boy Dempsey Michael Morgan into this world on April 11. Ginger and the boys were invited to ride to Fresno with Cam's mom and youngest sister Chanelle. It was so last minute, Ginger had to find someone to cover two of her shifts at work, and pack for the three of them in about 4 hours. Talk about stressful, but it all worked out, and Cohen was so excited to see his cousin Dono!

Cohen and Donovan played "tackle soccer" in there backyard. This was hilarious to watch, if one of them had the ball the other one would full on tackle him to the ground. Over and over, I kept waiting for one of them to start crying but they never did.

We were also able to go to the zoo and enjoy their nice weather. I just love this picture, Greg set Cohen on Dono's lap and Dono instantly put his arms around him like a seat belt, they were perfectly content with riding like that to until I had Cohen get in his own seat.

We only stayed 3 nights, but it was so fun to go and visit them and see there sweet baby. I was a little worried about the boys being good on the ride home but they did awesome. Both of them slept for most of the ride.

We can't wait for warmer weather to come! To try and pass the time we try to keep busy doing some fun things outside the house.

Cohen loves to go to the "trampoline place" also known as Airborne so we decided to go, and invited Grammy and aunt Chanelle to come spend the day with us.

Our Family Vacation

In February we decided it was time we took a family vacation. This first night we stayed in Las Vegas, where we rode the Gondolas at the Venetian, and then walked over to watch the fountains at the Bellagio (which Cohen and Scheyd loved). The next morning we left for.......Disneyland!

Who doesn't love Goofy?! Cohen was a little shy at first, but then warmed right up.

Our happy little guy. Even though he was stuck in a car seat, stroller, or in someones arms and never really got the chance to just get down and play he was always so smiley and happy!

We were at Disneyland for 6 days, and every one of them we had to go visit Lightening McQueen. This was Cohen's first time seeing him and he was so excited he didn't know what to do so he just stood there and pointed at them. So funny! Later he asked me "how come they aren't movin mom? are they being shy?"

Waiting in line....it's never easy but we were lucky to have mostly 10-15 minute waits.

Since it was also Cohen's 3rd birthday we went to Ride Makerz and let him pick out and build his very own car! He absolutely loved it, this boy is all about cars!

One day we decided to take a break from Disneyland to go swimming.

On our last day, which was also Cohen's 3rd birthday Ginger's good friend Lindsey met us there with her son Landon to spend the day! She lives in Palm Springs and doesn't get to come visit much so this was a nice surprise.

Cohen got a special phone call from Goofy on his birthday. He got to talk to him and then listen while he sang him happy birthday.

To celebrate we had breakfast with Mickey and friends. It was fun to have all the characters walk around and say while we ate. Cohen got a birthday balloon and badge with his name that made it even more special.

It was so nice to get away and just relax and have fun with our little family. The long drive wasn't to bad either, both boys were troopers!

I'm behind once again with this blog, but these pictures I just got done of my boys turned out so great I couldn't wait to post them!

There were SO many great shots to choose from, it was hard to only pick a few to share! Most every other time I have tried to get pictures done it's so stress full, my kids are grumpy or just don't want to cooperate, I was happily surprised this time went so smoothly. Cohen loved the photographer, she was good at making him laugh. And then there's Ashton, all you have to do is set him down and start talking to him and he's all smiles!

Merry Christmas

This year we had a nice relaxing Christmas, we even got to sleep in! Cameron and I were up before our boys, Cameron eventually went and woke Cohen up around 10:30 because he didn't want to wait anymore :) I love that Cohen wanted to move at a slow pace making opening presents last all day. He was so funny, after opening something, we would immediately have to open it and play with whatever it was, and read all of his new books. Ashton also enjoyed his new rattles and other things, but mainly loved just watching his brother be so happy and excited.

All Cohen asked Santa for was "James". Santa had set up Cohen's new activity table in the basement with his train set set up on it. Everything else had been on the main floor so Cohen didn't make it to the basement until late Christmas night. All day Cohen kept saying "Santa didn't bring me James but it's OK.", so when he did finally go downstairs he was so happy and surprised to see his new table with James wrapped on top of it, his face just lite up!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and was able to spend it with family and friends!

This year we decided to drive through Thanksgiving Point's holiday lights. The boys really enjoyed it, Cohen pointed everything out and would say "did you see that?". Every year spend Christmas Eve at Cam's parents house in Woodland Hills. This year we got there early so Cohen could enjoy sledding with his cousins. Grampy and Uncle Craig took turns walking him up the mountain and taking him down, he loved it!
The cousins exchange names and I think its safe to say that Cohen LOVED his gift! He got a hand made Cars holder with some "Cars" cars in it. He took over the whole floor playing with them.

We spent Thanksgiving at Grammy and Grampy's this year, with Cameron's brother Craig and his family. We missed seeing all the other siblings and nephew's, maybe next year.

We were all surprised to see that Grammy and Grampy had put a full size teeter totter in there living room. The kids loved it!

Every year Cameron's parents do Christmas PJ's for everyone and we love it, but you only wear them for a week before the holiday season is over so this year Cameron and I decided to start our own tradition and open Christmas PJ's on Thanksgiving. Cohen was so excited, he loved that he got to open his and help Ashton with his.

Go Jazz!

Anyone that knows us, knows that we love the Jazz! A couple months ago we were able to have dinner and go to a game with two other couples, Cory & Beth, and Hiram & Sarah. Usually it's just Cam and I that go to the games, so it was nice to have some friends join us this time.

It was also Ashton's first Jazz game, and he did great! He mostly just watched everyone in the crowd and smiled when they started cheering.

The week before Halloween Cameron went out of town for business. While he was gone I took my boys to our wards trunk-or-treat, and chili cook off. I definitely had my hands full by myself but Cohen loved it which made it worth it! Cohen showing my all the candy he got!
After we went over to Cory and Beth's to carve pumpkins, and wait for Cameron's flight to get it. Cohen hates to be dirty so he had to clean out the pumpkin with a spoon, and Riley took care of the rest! I love that they are "best friend cousins" as Cohen would say.

Every year we go to Beth's brother and sister-in-laws house for Halloween. We have a Chili and potato bar with Cory's homemade root beer, and then all the kids get to go out trick-or-treating together.

I love when Gardner Village puts their witches out for Halloween, Beth and I decided to go spend the day there. It was so much fun, the boys loved running from witch to witch, and of course they had to touch every pumpkin before they moved on...

Gingers aunt Leslie came into town from Texas the end of September, and she wanted to come meet our little Ashton, she surprised Ginger by bringing her grandma with her! It was a great visit, and I'm so glad that we were able to spend time with both of them.

The Circus

In September we got invited to go to the circus with Cameron's brother and his family. It was Cohen's first time and he got more and more excited as we talked to him about it!

It was so much fun to see all the different acts, and we had great seats, row 11!

Of course had to get Cohen his FAVORITE snack...popcorn! He will take popcorn over candy any day! We did have to talk him into sharing with Riley though, he was convinced he could eat the whole bucket by himself, and he probably would have tried if we let him.
Cohen loved seeing all the animals, but his favorite were the motorcycles!

We also decided to take Trax which was another first for us. Cohen and Riley really enjoyed the "train" and probably would have been happy to just ride that all day.

Over all it was a great night and the kids did awesome!

First 2 weeks with Ashton

Cam was able to take 2 weeks off work to help with Ashton and get Cohen adjusted to having a baby in the house. It was such a busy couple weeks, we had so many visitors, and several meals brought in to us, and on top of everything else we also started looking for a new house! Yeah I know it was kind of crazy timing to start looking for a new house but we thought it would be smart to take advantage of the time Cam had off. Cohen loved going in house after house to check things out, it was pretty cute, but you can only look at so many houses before you start to get sick of it! So one of the last days that Cam had off we decided to go to the Zoo, it was such a nice day, it felt nice to just be out enjoying it as a family!

I'm a little behind on my posts (considering Ashton is now 4 1/2 months) but better late then never right?! We checked in at the Riverton Hospital at 10:40am on Tuesday August 17, our little Ashton arrived at 2:35pm, only 4 hours later! I consider myself very lucky to have such fast and easy labors, I only had to push twice! I'm also very lucky to have had such a great doctor, thanks to my cousin for referring me to her father-in-law.

Our family and friends put together a Baby-Q to celebrate our new addition! It was very nice, and we really appreciate everyone and everything they did to help. Since this wasn't the normal "baby shower" there wasn't any games, instead there were several different things to do (mostly for the kids, but that's what really matters...right?)

We don't live close to a beach so I guess we will settle for the lake...It's nice that it is only 5 minutes from our house, and we can go through our neighborhood! It takes a few minutes for Cohen to warm up to the sand and decide its OK, he HATES being messy! I love this and hate it at the same time, it's nice that he is always clean and I don't have to worry about him making big messes, but sometimes I wish he would just loosen up and play.

This summer we went to Lagoon a few times, with Cam's brother Cory and his family. With Ginger being pregnant she wasn't able to ride anything, but still had fun watching how much Cohen loved the rides, and it was just nice to get out and walk!

On Tuesday August 17 2010, we finally met our newest member of the family. Ashton weighed in at at 6lbs 11oz 19 1/2in long oddly enough the exact same as his brother Cohen was. Block Party

Every year we go to the Freeman Family block party. It's a great idea and so much fun to get to get to know your neighbors better! The freeman family provides hot dogs and hamburgers and and all the family's meet in there front yard and bring a side dish to share, along with a few fireworks. This year we had 2 pinatas, one for the kids, and one for the dads. They also put together a few games from the TV show Minute to win it.

Beth got chosen to participate in the Skittle sorting game, and she would have done really well if she didn't have Riley run up to her and start trying to eat all the candy! :) little stinker

This is Cam getting an empty tissue box tied around his waist to fill with ping pong balls. The object is to try and shake all the balls out of the box before the minute is up.
I love that Cam is such a good sport about things and went and had fun with it!

After the games were over we set up the fireworks. These 3 were working on this for a good 15-20 minutes! They set them up to outline a U :) Just a little BYU and U of U rivalry fun.

4th of July

We started off our 4th of July playing at the park! Cohen and Riley loved flying the kite, but the most amusing part was when they lost interest and let go so Cam, Cory, or Grampy had to chase after it. Pretty funny! Then we had a Delicious BBQ for dinner over at the Robins, yum!

Cohen and Riley were so excited to watch the fireworks! This year it was so fun to watch Cohen's reaction, he LOVED it!

Fireworks just look better when you do them off a latter.. They really got them going too, trying to do 3 or 4 at a time! The show lasted about 2 hours!

Cory thought it would be a good idea to put some water in the garbage can to throw the fireworks into while they were still hot...and it might have been a good idea if he remembered the hose was on and didn't fill the garbage can all the way up with water! It took Cam, Cory, and Grampy to empty it!

Riverton Days

Saturday we decided to spend the day at Riverton Park and enjoy the carnival and later the fireworks. Normally we go to Sugar House Park for the fireworks, but decided that Riverton days would be better for Cohen. He loved it! He would have stayed in this bounce house all day and played basketball if we would have let him!
Grammy and Aunt Chanelle even came and spent the day with us, Cohen loved the extra attention!

In memory of Quinn Falk

This last Saturday Cameron's brother Cory lost his best friend and flying buddy Quinn Falk in a plane crash. He was getting ready to fly the Salt Lake Bees banner around the valley just before that evenings game. Just after attempting to takeoff the plane lost engine power, he and his plane went down. The two had been friends since sophomore year in high school. They both loved flying, it was a passion they shared together. He will be greatly missed.

Jeremy & Ashley's Wedding

On May 28, 2010 Ginger's good friend(otherwise known as sister) Ashley got married at Millennial Falls to Jeremy Thueson. The ceremony was beautiful and the weather turned out good despite the threatening storm clouds.

Ginger was honored to be asked to be a bridesmaid, and was even able to find a dress that looked halfway decent considering she is more then 6 months pregnant!

Cohen just loves his Ashley! He couldn't wait until she was free from pictures so he could run up and see her. Ginger is not the only one that will be missing them when they move to Seattle...

During the reception Cohen and his buddy Bridger loved playing with Ashley's niece Ali. Cohen even tried to dance with her...I think he has a crush :)

The night before Easter we got together with Cory, Beth, and Riley so we could let Cohen and Riley dye eggs together. Sounded like a fun/cute idea, at the time.... We stripped them both down to there diapers and set two colors on the floor at a time. Cohen went first, but since he doesn't like to get messy at all he dropped the egg in so he wouldn't touch the water. Then Riley thought that was how you were suppose to do it so he went and threw his in and dye splashed all over, which he thought was pretty fun and wiped it all over himself! It was pretty funny to watch until we realized that the pink looked like it was staining the floor then we cleaned up pretty fast!

Even though it was messy, and I'm pretty sure that every egg the boys dyed cracked, it was really fun to watch, and the boys had a great time doing it!

Thanksgiving Point Easter Egg Hunt

We had signed Cohen up to do the egg hunt at Thanksgiving Point a few weeks in advance, but as it got closer we realized the weather wasn't suppose to be very good. Luckily the morning of there was no snow, so we bundled up and decided to go. Cohen got so excited when he saw all the eggs laying out in the field, it was hard to hold him back until they said go! Despite the cold we had a great time, both Cohen and Riley ended up with a basket of eggs and were even more excited about them when they discovered the treats inside!

We decided to take Cohen to see the Easter Bunny on Friday since Cam had the day off. I new if it was anything like seeing Santa there would be a good chance I wouldn't get a pic of him smiling, so I made sure to get one before we left!

Mommy was right...definitely not going to smile, but hey at least he's not crying like he did with Santa. Although I must say, I do think the Easter Bunny is a bit creepy myself.

Last month Cameron surprised Cohen and I and took us to see Disney On Ice. It was so much fun to watch his reaction to Mickey and Minnie, when they first came out! He calls Mickey "Mickey Mouse Club House" he thinks that's his name :) Cohen enjoying his pizza while waiting for the show to begin

His favorite was by far "Cars", that's his new obsession lately, he LoVeS Cars!! Lightening, Mater, and Mac are by far his favorite.

Last Tuesday I had put my treadmill down so I could walk on it for awhile, when I remembered that I still needed to take our dog Bentley out. While I was outside Cohen had climbed over the gate to get to the treadmill, pushed the computer chair over to it so he could push the buttons, and somehow turned it on. When I came back into the house I could hear it running and shortly after Cohen started screaming. When I ran into the room Cohen was at the end of the treadmill with his little finger stuck in it. Well it wasn't exactly stuck I think he was just paralyzed there and didn't think to move it. Poor guy. Cam and I took him into instacare where they gave him 2 shots, one on each side of his finger to numb it so they could Xray it to make sure it wasn't broken and then to scrub it clean. I think he cried for a good 2 hours until we were leaving and he finally fell asleep on me. He kept saying "hurts, really hurts", over and over, seriously one of the saddest things to have to do with your 2 year old! We had to go see a plastic surgeon on Friday to see if it would heal OK on its own or if he would need a skin graft. Luckily he thinks it will heal just fine on its own, there is just one spot that is a little deeper that he is concerned about so we will take him back in a week to see how its healing.

8.8 Earthquake in Concepcion, Chile

So last weekend was kind of a scary time for our family. As I'm sure everyone is aware, last Friday night/Saturday morning there was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile. Early last year my Brother Christopher was called to serve a LDS mission, he was called to the Concepcion, Chile mission, the epicenter of where the quake had hit. I found out about the earthquake when my sister Renee called me shortly after the quake happened to inform me of what was happening in Chile. Calls at 2am are never good. We had no idea if Christopher was okay or not. Just that there was a major quake. Ginger and I stayed up watching TV for news constantly switching between channels trying to get more information. After watching for almost two hours not getting really any info or updates on what was happening, we decided to try and get some rest and try and sleep. I play basketball every Saturday morning so as always my alarm woke me at about 7:30am. I immediately went to see if there were any new updates on the status of the missionaries in Concepcion. No luck. Didn't find really any information other than there had been a major quake. No news about really anything else. I decided to still go to basketball, maybe try to get my mind somewhere else.Frustrated I wasn't able to get any resolution as to the status of my brothers safety. On the way to ball driving up I-15 I got hit really hard with emotion of what was going on. I had a brother in the middle of a major disaster on the other side of the world and had no idea if he was okay, hurt or even alive! I Broke down crying while I was headed down the freeway. From the moment I got the news from my sister to the moment I talked to my Mom just after it happened I told them, "I'm sure Christopher is fine. He's a smart kid." I was telling everyone that he'd be fine but I wasn't so convinced myself. I had no idea whether he'd end up being fine or not. On the way home I finally got word from my Dad that all the missionaries were accounted for and okay. I heard shortly after that not all the missionaries were accounted for just yet. I still had no idea. At about 5:30 pm Saturday it was confirmed that the missionaries were all okay. It was a rough 18 hours not knowing how my little brother was doing. My Mom finally got in contact with him when he called briefly Sunday early morning. Since then I've had a chance to chat with him through facebook and listen to him through Skype. He seems like he's doing okay considering the circumstances. Since the quake, he's been instructed to grow out his facial hair to grow a beard, he's supposed to wear a hat, no badges or anything. They don't want him to look like an American at all. They even are instructing him to have some kind of weapon he can use to protect himself from looters.

As of now he's okay. We pray every night that he will be protected.

Today I had my nephew Riley over for a few hours. Cohen and Riley love to be together, and they get along great...most of the time!

This year Cohen turns 2! WoW I can't believe it. We rented out the party room at the South Jordan Rec Center for his party, since Cohen loves to swim...most of the time :) We had a great turn out, and Cohen loved having all his friends there.

We got all the grand kids together to do a cousin picture and surprise Grammy & Grampy with it for Christmas. It was a great idea and we meant well, but I don't think any of us expected it to be such a nightmare! It was to early for Cohen and he was not having it! We were there for just about 3 HOURS...way to long when you have three 1 year olds! The older kids were great and got awesome sibling pictures. And even though Cohen is crying in almost every picture it's still pretty cute. Not sure if anyone really loves what we ended up with, but I am sure that no one wants to do retakes anytime soon!

Made It!

Merry Christmas! This year was so much fun, after patiently waiting for Cohen to wake up to do presents I finally woke him up at 10:30! Crazy he never sleeps that late! It was great to see his face light up when he walked down stairs and saw his train set all set up! I think he could have stood there playing with it for hours, but we made him open his other presents :) He also got a basketball hoop which he loves, we are a bit late on getting him one, he probably would have loved to have it last year...he likes to have the net high so he can shoot it! It's really cute to watch, when he makes it he yells "Made it" and when he doesn't he yells "Miss it" just as excited. Cohen loved all his toys but his favorites are definitely his train set and basketball hoop! Later in the afternoon Gingers Aunt & Uncle, cousin, and sister came over to do gifts and then we headed over to Gingers great Aunt's house for a little while. It was good to see everyone, since we only see them a couple times a year. For dinner Ginger made her yummy Alfredo and Cam's sister Michelle her husband Greg and there son Donovan joined us! It was a great day and we were all exhausted by the time it came to an end.

Santa came!! Cohen is not a fan of him...

Every year Cams parents have Christmas Eve at there house. This year everyone was able to make it for the first time! The only one that was missing was Cam's younger brother Christopher who is on a mission in Chile. It's always a lot of fun. This year after dinner we had a surprise visit from Santa! Most the kids were really excited about this...Cohen was not. After Santa left the kids did there gift exchange, and the adults did a white elephant gift game. Then it was pj time, everyone opened there pj's and put them on for our family picture in front of the tree. We had a great time!

Last week we went Downtown to walk around Temple Square and see all the lights. It was a bit cold so we all bundled up and got some Hot Chocolate to keep warm. We had a great time, and after went and drove down Christmas Street...it really isn't that impressive anymore, but Cohen enjoyed seeing all the lights so it I guess it made it worth it.

So I was going through some things in Cohen's closet and came across a pair of Evans underwear (they had never been worn in case you are wondering). I set them aside not sure where I was going to put them and the next thing I know Cohen walks into his room with them on (well kind of he had both feet in the same hole), and said "mama I did it" He was very excited about it and when I tried to take them off he insisted that he wear them (Big Boy is what he kept saying). I don't think that he is quit ready to be potty trained, but maybe if he keeps wanting to be a "big boy" it will happen sooner then expected.

Recently Cohen has started a new fascination with trains. We really aren't sure where it came from because he doesn't even own any and hasn't really watched any movies/tv shows with them....but any how he now gets very excited when he sees them and will be the first to point out when we go over "choo choo tracks" (what he calls them). So when we walked into South Towne Mall the other day and saw the train going around we knew we would probably end up letting him ride.

He stood and watched out the window with his very serious face the whole ride...not the excited reaction most kids would have but he sure didn't want to get off!

Sunday morning we left Fresno and headed home. After getting stuck in traffic and having some car problems we decided not to do the drive in one day, and stay the night in Mesquite. When we reached Vegas we decided to find the Ethel M's factory since we had some time, and they are our favorite! We went there thinking we would just get a box of chocolates and then be on our way, but were surprised to see it all decorated with Christmas lights. Cohen was so happy to finally get out of the car and he loved running along the path looking at all the different lights, it was the perfect place to stop!

At the end of the path we saw Santa's chair, so I thought it would be cute to let Cohen go sit in it, since it was late and I assumed that Santa came during the day. While Cohen was playing in the big red chair I heard bells and turned to see Santa walking up! Since we were already there Cohen got to see him with out waiting in line. It worked out perfect! Cohen kept looking at him and pointing saying Ho Ho Ho, and he didn't mind talking to him, but forget sitting on his lap! The closest he would go is in mommy's arms.

This year we spent Thanksgiving visiting Cam's sister Michelle, her husband Gregory, and their son Donovan in Fresno. It was great to get out of the cold weather and to finally get together at there house. Just a warning...most the pictures are of Cohen and his cute cousin Dono, they played so cute together I couldn't resist!

New Moon Premier

Thursday night I went with 3 of my sister-in-laws to the New Moon premier at midnight! It was such a great night out, we all got team Edward shirts just to make it fun, and then when we got there they were doing free eye bling, glitter, and feathers so of course we couldn't pass that up. Then we headed over to Z Tejas to get 1/2 off appetizers, to kill some time until the movie. When we headed back it was CRAZY! Wow, there were people (mostly girls) everywhere! The line to the concessions went all the way outside! We fought our way throw everyone and got our goody bag and then found our seats. The movie was great, and to my surprise I didn't even have to fight staying awake...I guess it was all my red bulls :)

He will basically say anything you ask him to, but he's getting really good at putting 2-3 words together by himself! Some things he says are, more please mommy/daddy, up please, football touchdown, trick-or-treat, thank you, excuse me (if someone burps or sneezes), just to give you an idea. He will also name every character on Yo Gabba Gabba and then tell you what color they are. He is SO smart and its been so much fun to be home with him and watch him learn new things. I am so thankful for my little family and feel so blessed.

This year we spent Halloween at the Molloy's, since we had so much fun their last year. Before we head out trick-or-treating, they do chili and baked potato's, along with a few different salads, YUM! Unfortunately Cohen started showing flu like symptoms just before getting there, but he kept saying trick-or-treat so we decided to see how it went. He didn't eat anything which was no surprise considering he hadn't all day, but as soon as we put his costume on him and went outside he was ready to go! And I'm not kidding he lead the way from house to house. It was fun to watch Cohen and Riley trick-or treat together, and get excited to pick there own candy and put in there bag. They loved it!

We took Cohen Trunk-or-treating for the second time last night at Gingers aunt and uncles ward. It was so fun Jenny dressed up like a witch and Ethan was a nerd. Cohen was so excited to go, he is really starting to understand what to do, he says trick-or-treat, please, and thank you!! Now he asks to go every day and will bring me his bag and say "trick-or-treat bag please". We can't wait to take him on Halloween, hope the weather cooperates.

Carving pumpkins was interesting this year. Cohen wanted to be involved but did not like the feel of the "pumpkin guts", He kept saying eww guts. Ha Ha. He ended up getting a spatula out and trying to help with that, he is very resourceful. It was fun and I think they turned out great! Cohen LOVES his pumpkins and has to show them to anyone that comes over. Oh and we have to check on them at least once a day. It's so cute he will come grab my hand and say "pumpins" and want to go see them.

Where did summer go?? I feel like it came and went so fast. Last week I thought it would be fun to take Cohen swimming since it had been a while since he had been. Beth and Riley were able to go with us so it was that much more fun! We went early before they turn on all the splash things so Cohen and Riley really enjoyed it, they could walk around everywhere and not have to worry about getting splashed (they aren't big fans of that yet). It was a great time, and will probably go back soon!!

This morning we went to Thanksgiving Point to the Cornbelly Maze. There were so many little activities for kids and Cohen loved it. His favorite things were the big slides, and the big jump mats, he had a blast running around and jumping! We also took him on a hay ride....but he was not a fan of that, it was SO bumpy, he wanted to stand by himself but kept falling into the edge. We were definitely happy when the ride was over.

Last night we decided to go check out the new pumpkin patch by our house, we met Cory, Beth, and Riley there. The boys loved running around and climbing on all the pumpkins! They also have a small haunted corn maze that we did with the kids. Cohen didn't mind the scary decorations, he just watched as they moved or light up. Riley was a bit more timid about them, but they both enjoyed it. It was fun to spend the day with the family doing fall activities!

On Saturday we went to the Petting Zoo at Gardner Village. First we let the boys (Cohen, and Riley) ride the ponies , they are Cohen's favorite and he started freaking out as soon as he saw them. After that we did the petting zoo, it was a first for everyone. Cohen was absolutely fearless, he ran right in and started petting a goat. I love that he likes animals so much, he could have stayed in there for hours! Unfortunately Cam and Cory weren't big fans of standing in there so it was a short visit. We had a great time, and want to go back soon! Anyone that wants to go give me a call, Cohen would LOVE it.

Saturday we went up to Park City to visit Gingers Aunt Debbie, sister Jenny and cousin Ethan. They were staying for the week in there timeshare. We walked over to the park to let Cohen play, he had a blast although it was a little colder then expected and we weren't dressed properly. We also went and had dinner with everyone, the food wasn't that good but it was nice to warm up and spend time with everyone. Unfortunately Cohen caught a cold from our visit and has passed it on to mom and dad...

Last night was the first preseason Jazz game, we decided to take Cohen and see how he did. Last season he didn't want anything to do with sitting there, he was more interested in running around out in the hallway. So we decided to try a preseason game first to see if he would be interested. He surprisingly did very well. We only stayed until half time but he sat and watched the whole first half. He even learned to say "Go Jazz"!

A couple of weeks ago Cohen and I (Ginger) went a road trip with Cameron's dad, mom and youngest sister Chanelle. Our first stop was SF, they had a wedding to attend so Cohen and I hung out at the Hotel and went swimming and walked around town. The next day we went to eat at the Stinking Rose, this place is SO good if you haven't been there I recommend it!

On Sunday and Monday we were in Fresno visiting my "twin" sister-in-law Michelle her husband Greg and their son Donovan. My other sister-in-law Beth her husband Cory, and their son Riley also flew in to visit so were able to have all the '08 cousins together again!

Our last night we drove up to Yosemite, we made it with a little time to walk around and see some of the Sequoia's. It was a little colder then anticipated but it was worth seeing.

Cohen insisted on walking himself unless he was on my shoulders. I love this picture of him on the bridge even if he wouldn't smile for it.

After we left Yosemite it was a very long 11 hours in the car. Cohen did great, he got a little fussy at times but was never really that bad. We had a great trip, but I'm not going to lie I couldn't wait to get home to Cam, that was the longest we have ever been apart in 8 years! And Cohen sure missed his daddy!

Labor Day we decided to take Cohen to play at Kangaroo Zoo with his Cousin Riley and his mom and dad. At first the boys were very clingy but after watching other kids play they soon got use to it and were off jumping and bouncing around on there own!!

Hmmm where do I even start....well for the last 3 years I have been a nanny for 2 adorable kids, Haylee and Evan. I can't believe that Evan was only 3 months and is now 3! Wow time flies. I have done so much with them over the past 3 years weekends, holidays, weddings, water parks, swimming, the Circus...I could go on and on. Over that time me and ALL my family have grown to LOVE them as my own. So seeing my time come to end has not only been very hard on me but also to my family and friends. Evan will now start preschool/daycare, and Haylee will soon start 1st grade at Carden Memorial, so they no longer need me and couldn't really afford to keep me. As a goodbye gift I made both Haylee and Evan rag quilts, it was my first time making quilts but I'm pretty proud of how they turned out!

18 months!

Today our crazy little man is 18 months old. I can't believe how fast time flies! He has gone from a 6lb 11oz baby who couldn't do anything but eat, sleep, and poop, to a 21 1/2lb little man who is very independent. I thought I would write 18 facts about Cohen.

1. Cohen loves music! Every time he is fussy in the car we turn on the radio and he calms right down. He loves dancing with us, and he even has a few moves of his own that are pretty cute.

2. Cohen loves being outside. Such a boy. If the door is open just a crack he tries to pry it open and run outside. He would stay out all day if I let him.

3.He is beginning to understand what we are saying to him, so its getting really fun to communicate with him. He's a little boy that knows what he wants, that's for sure!

4. Cohen LOVES balls. If there is a basketball hoop around, he could spend forever dumping balls through the basket. He loves throwing balls, and he also loves kicking them.

5. His favorite things to eat are pasta, steamed vegetables (any kind), and raisins.

6. He also likes going for walks in his little red wagon.

7. He can point to his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, hands, and feet.

8. He started walking at 10 1/2 months and has never slowed down!

9. His favorite TV shows are Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Club House, and Yo Gabba Gabba ( unfortunately...Cam and I can't stand that one!)

10. He is learning to make animal sounds so far he knows Monkey, Elephant, Cow, Dog, Cat, Sheep, Lion, and Duck.

11. Cohen loves to climb! If theres a way to climb on something he will find it. Last week he learned to pull out the drawer under the oven and stand on it to reach the stove! I definitely have my hands full.

12. He loves to play at the park, and go down the slides all by himself!

13. The last few months Cohen has wanted to help me clean. Usually his idea of cleaning up is throwing anything he can see into the laundry hamper. I have found several things in there such as shoes, toys, remote controls, diapers, and on and on.

14. He has discovered how to make funny faces and will make them at everyone! This includes the lady sitting in back of us at church....

15. He is full of energy and always going, but if your lucky he will stop to give "loves" or blow kisses.

16. He does not like fruit of any kind, but will drink any kind of juice..

17. He loves all animals and gets so excited to see them, but his favorites are Monkeys and Dogs.

18. One of my favorite things he does is when he picks a book and sits in your lap for you to read it to him.

I sure hope he knows how much I love him. I am the luckiest mom in the world!

Cohen LOVES fish! He gets so excited when he sees them. It was fun to watch him at the aquarium, he would run from one tank to the next. He thought the sting ray was pretty neat and even tried to pet one. They have a little place decorated like your under the sea with little caves for the kids to play in. Cam sat in one to try and get Cohen to, which didn't work but the pic of Cam is pretty funny so I had to post it.

Saturday we went to Lagoon to celebrate two of our friends birthdays. It was so much fun to go this time because Cohen was able to ride on some of the children's rides by himself! Cam wasn't able to go on a lot of the rides due to his collarbone not being 100% but we were able to go on Wicked together for the first time! It would have been great if I didn't get stung by a wasp not once but twice on my back during the ride...
